The Altar Logo, By Mr. Joey Billitteri

Dear The Altar Family,

I wanted to share with you the work of Mr. Joey Billitteri. He sent me this logo that he has been working on! I think it is AWESOME. We are blessed with the talents of many, we need not hide those talents under a bushal! I have a suggestion that we run a poll after we get a few options of logos for our new church, similar to the poll for the name for the church. It will be fun, and we can find out if anyone else has a similar talent! For now, I will put the logos that are submitted to us up on the site as our temporary logo, to celebrate the work of another. If you are interested, please email me any drafts of logo's that you want submitted, and we will post it on the site to share. Thanks, Joey, for sharing your talents with us! Wow! I will update this logo if Joey has any changes to it, this is the second that he has sent. He obvously has put alot of thought into this and I didn't think it should go unnoticed! Enjoy!

We are so blessed to have just awesome people at our church who are so creative and have God in their hearts. I for one love the logo. Joey has done an excellent job and it shows what we are. I'm Dragos, from Romania, and i just wanted to greet your pastor, brother Don for standing for the Lord!! He sent me the older address of your site and for a while i couldn't access it. Now i found the new version and also the new name. I'm glad that you found a name, a new identity. Because i know some of you because i have a great respect for Don and his ministry i felt that could help somehow so i tried to make a logo for your church. You are free to use it.

Welcome! We welcome you and invite you to attend and become part of our new church family! We are so very excited to begin this new year and are so thankful for what God has blessed us with since we began in August of 2008! NEED HELP ON THE SITE?

Here are a couple of pointers to help you navigate and participate on the site. Your participation and involvement on this site is really critical to it's success.

To make a "comment" on a post- Simply click on the word "Comments" at the bottom. This allows you to read what others have commented about a subject, and allows you to post a comment of your own- the most important part! If you don't have a "Google Account"- Just choose Anonnymous, and if you want, type your name at the end.

To see the map at the bottom of the page: Click the "Click to See" button in the lower right hand of the map box. Once there, you can view all the places where people are that have visited the site- you can even look just above the map and choose to change the size of the "dots" so you can see more specific places on the map. There are ALOT more dots than you would think. This means we are reaching the masses!

Don't want to listen to the music that is playing while you read and visit? Just click the pause button on the player. It's near the top. Click on the > button to play again.

GOD'S ACCURACY
How lovely to think about the way our Creator God planned everything so carefully and perfectly, everything with a plan. As His highest creation, "we are fearfully and wonderfully made."
God's accuracy may be observed in the hatching of eggs.
For example,
The eggs of the potato bug hatch in 7 days;
Those of the canary in 14 days;
Those of the barnyard hen in 21 days.
The eggs of ducks and geese hatch in 28 days;
Those of the mallard in 35 days.
The eggs of the parrot and the ostrich hatch in 42 days.
(Notice, they are all divisible by Seven).
God's wisdom is seen in the making of an elephant. The four legs of this great beast all bend forward in the same direction. No other Quadruped is so made. God planned that this animal would have a huge body, too large to live on two legs.
For this reason He gave it four fulcrums so that it can rise from the ground easily.
The horse rises from the ground on its two front legs first.
A cow rises from the ground with its two hind legs first.
How wise the Lord is in all His works of creation! God's wisdom is revealed in His arrangement of sections and segments, as well as in the number of grains.
Each watermelon has an even number of strips on the rind.
Each orange has an even number of segments.
Each ear of corn has an even number of rows.
Each stalk of wheat has an even number of grains.
Every bunch of bananas has on its lowest row an even number of bananas, and each row decreases by one, so that one row has an even number and the next row an odd number.
The waves of the sea roll In on shore twenty-six to the minute in all kinds of weather.
All grains are found in even numbers on the stalks
The Lord specified Thirtyfold, sixtyfold, and a hundredfold - all even numbers.
God has caused the flowers to blossom at certain specified times during the day, so that Linneus, the great botanist, once said that if he had a conservatory containing the right kind of soil, moisture and temperature, he could tell the time of day or night by the flowers that were open and those that were closed!
Thus the Lord in His wonderful grace can arrange the life that is entrusted to His care in such a way that it will carry out His purposes and plans, and will be fragrant with His presence. Only the God-planned life is successful. Only the life given over to the care of the Lord is safe.

Instead of an atmosphere of honesty and humility, there is pretending, role-playing, politicking, superficial politeness, and shallow conversation.People wear masks, keep their guard up, and act as if everything is rosy in their lives. These attitudes are the death of real friendship.It’s only as we become open about our lives that we experience authentic fellowship. The Bible says, “If we live in the light, as God is in the light, we can share fellowship with each other. . . . We tend to use darkness to hide our hurts, faults, fears, failures, and flaws.
